Getting Around

We are at Prestwick Airport.

Whether you are in the area on business or for pleasure, you are certain to take a little piece of Ayrshire back home with you. Our romantic 19th century coach house was first used by Irish Monks as they arrived from Ireland and settled in this part of Ayrshire, and hence the name “Monk Town” or Monkton was born. Resting in beautiful countryside in the Scottish heartland of Ayrshire, our welcoming and homely guest house has everything you could need to enjoy your stay in the area.

Situated under at Glasgow Prestwick International Airport, we are the most convenient accommodation for your travel needs. Muirhouse Lodge is also perfectly situated as a base for you to go out and explore Ayrshire and Scotland further, with all the major road links less than 600 metres away. Whether you are here through work; visiting friends and family; sampling some of the best golf courses on earth; exploring ancient castles and battle sites from Scottish history; enjoying the vibrant city life of Glasgow; or taking in the magnificent scenery and outdoor activities of Ayrshire, make Muirhouse your home whilst you are in South West Scotland.

Car Hire
Thinking Of Hiring A Car? Why Not Hire Your Car From Muirhouse Lodge?

Muirhouse decided to start offering car hire services for our guests after seeing the problems and delays our guests encountered on arrival. I also experienced these long delays when traveling and wanted to help my guests enjoy their visit as much as possible. Tired from their flights, they would then have to wait in long cues to arrange hire of their vehicles. On busy days, it could take up to 1 hour before they actually had the cars.
